Lucy's Loaves is an artisan micro bakery situated in St Margarets, South West London that bakes hand crafted loaves and products using the highest quality ingredients, with flour sourced directly from Shipton Mill. I bake to order for anyone who wants freshly baked, naturally leavened, slow fermented bread.
I am passionate about providing REAL BREAD free from additives and preservatives, using only organic flour from Shipton Mill and the highest quality ingredients. I make all the products by hand in my domestic kitchen and specialise in naturally leavened sourdough. Great tasting bread using just flour, water, salt and plenty of time. When you collect your bread, you can be assured you are getting the freshest bread in St Margarets as all bread is baked on the day it is sold.
I have been baking bread for many years to ensure my family has as natural a product as possible. In the last 10 years, I have discovered the joys of baking sourdough, often giving my bread away to friends and family.
Previously, I have been a Dietitian and a teacher of Food and Nutrition in secondary schools. I truly believe that bread plays such an important part of our diet, providing an excellent source of energy, B-group vitamins, iron and fibre.
